Bowden's Bench – Headed for the Open Door

We explored the benefits of varied positioning in last week’s bench, but this week I’ve favoured an important aspect of every outfield position: Heading.
In this weekly blog I shine the spotlight on three IN-FORM (IF) Team of the Week (TOTW) players who maybe don’t quite get the same attention as their superstar counterparts, but can be great value for money and really improve your team. Benalouane, Pope and Dorsin have been selected in my line-up this week.
IF Yohan Benalouane is certainly a unique item. The former CB is a left-footed RB allowing you to catch out your unsuspecting opponent in both attack and defence. With 80 Heading and 78 Defending he’s able to keep wingers at bay, and even pop up to score the odd goal at corners. As a 74 rated player, this is a smart buy at 40,000 coins. |

At 191 cm tall and with 77 Heading, IF Tom Pope is an ideal target-man for your bronze team. Compliment his strengths by surrounding him with faster players who can float in a decent cross and reap the rewards. You can pick up the English striker for around 130,000 coins. |

The all-rounder Silver LB. IF Mikael Dorsin’s 70 Passing and 70 Dribbling give him proficiency playing forward up the left, and his 72 Defending and 76 Heading mean he’s just as capable defending it. 30,000 coins is a pretty fair price tag for the Swedish. |
