Can't afford the top picks from the FIFA Ultimate Team of the Week? EA SPORTS Community Manager Bowden gives you some backroom tips on where to smartly spend your transfer budget.

As we explored in the last bench, Bronze and Silver players have been gaining huge popularity as people look to challenge themselves with Level-locked tournaments. I’ve selected 3 Silver players in very different positions for a wider focus on this TOTW.

In this weekly blog I shine the spotlight on three IN-FORM (IF) Team of the Week (TOTW) players who maybe don’t quite get the same attention as their superstar counterparts, but can be great value for money and really improve your team. The three Silvers I’ve gone for are Paulinho, Zwaanswijk and Nikolov.

Paulinho

The Serie B is chock-full of skillful Silver players, making it the ideal league to base your chemistry around. Playing IF Paulinho at the pointy-end of your formation will give you a real X-factor. He’s quick, agile, and possesses deadly finishing. You can secure the Brazilian-Italian for around 90,000 coins.

Patrick Zwaanswijk

Patrick Zwaanswijk made the TOTW thanks to his thundering header to put Central Coast Mariners ahead in the Hyundai A-League Grand Final. This beast of a defender has 95 Strength, 88 Shot Power and 78 Heading, meaning he’s just as scary in attack as he is in defence. IF Zwaanswijk is fantastic value, costing only about 20,000 coins for the flying Dutchman.

Oka Nikolov

IF Oka Nikolov is the go-to Silver GK for your Bundesliga team. The 38-year old Macedonian GK seems to be getting better with age, now having 77 Reflexes, 76 Positioning and 76 Diving. At 15,000 coins you simply can’t go wrong with this custodian.

Who do YOU think is the best buy in this week’s TOTW? Check out the full team here and leave your comments below.
