“Life-Ruiningly Fun” Comes To iPad, iPhone & iPod Touch With The Launch Of The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Simpsons fans, get ready! For the first time, fans of TV's longest-running comedy will be able to recreate Springfield and customize the city any way they want - anywhere they want - for free with The Simpsons: Tapped Out. To quote Homer from the game: “It’s life-ruiningly fun.”

Written and brought to life by The Simpsons' award-winning TV writers and animators, the game starts when Homer accidentally causes a meltdown that wipes out Springfield – "D'oh!" It’s up to players to rebuild it and help him find his family and friends.

Players complete a variety of quests to earn virtual money, experience points (and even donuts) which they can use to customize and expand their Springfields with new buildings, decorations, and characters from the show. Players will also enjoy exclusive, never-before-seen animated scenes that are sure to please fans of the show.

"The Simpsons is the ideal brand to bring laugh-out-loud entertainment to mobile devices," says Nick Earl, Senior Vice President of Global Social and Mobile Studios at EA. This is a great game. But after the first day playing it has developed massive bugs. And I don't mean the huge server access problems and frequent drop outs. The game in my town is stuck and won't let me do anything, just keeps saying I should visit the other Springfield first- which I already have and keep doing but it remains stuck. And there are two of each character wandering around my village lol. No response from ea despite promise to help within 24 hours :-(

The latest update has completely screwed my city and rearranged everything. Really annoying and have to move all my buildings around. Also removed all special items I bought with doughnuts. Please restore my town....please
