FIFA 14 - Top 10 Bundesliga Goal-Scorers

We continue to highlight How the World Plays FIFA by spotlighting the top goal-scoring players in the major leagues across Europe. Regardless of the mode you’re playing in FIFA 14, these are guys you want playing for you.

Today, we look at the top ten goal-scorers playing in Germany’s Bundesliga in FIFA 14. Catch up with the top ten goal-scorers from Italy’s Serie A and France’s Ligue 1.

#10. Mario Götze (Germany) – Bayern München– CAM

The first of many Bayern München players on this list, the recently-acquired Mario Götze has had a fairly decent first season with the club. He’s a goal-scoring threat in FIFA 14 thanks in large part to his 91 Dribbling and 90 Ball Control. He’s also a really physical player with 88s in Agility and Reactions, 87s in Short Passing and Balance, 86 Vision and 84 Positioning. If Götze isn’t scoring goals, he will most certainly be setting them up.

#9. Mame Diouf (Senegal) – Hannover 96 – ST

The 79-rated Diouf is the kind of player you want rushing into the penalty area, ready to pounce on an incoming cross. His 90 Sprint Speed and 86 Acceleration allow him to outrun most defenders while his 93 Jumping and 82 Heading Accuracy are frustrating for opposing keepers.  If you are looking for an affordable threat in FIFA Ultimate Team, Diouf is a great option.

#8. Franck Ribéry (France) – Bayern München - LM

2013 FIFA Ballon D’Or finalist Franck Ribéry is the complete offensive package. He commands the Left side of the pitch thanks to a number of incredible stats including 93 Dribbling, 92s in Ball Control, Acceleration, Agility and Balance and 90 Sprint Speed. If you have a strong finisher in the area, chances are that Ribéry will get them the ball and a goal will quickly follow.

#7. Henrikh Mkhitaryan (Armenia) – Borussia Dortmund – CAM

The 25 year-old Armenian joined Dortmund last summer after making a name for himself in The Ukraine. Although not a traditional goal-scorer, he is an excellent attacking midfielder who can help create goal-scoring opportunities. Mkhitaryan is highlighted by his 86 Agility, 84 Volleys, 83s in Ball Control, Dribbling and Acceleration and 82 Positioning.

#6. Thomas Müller (Germany) – Bayern München – RM

While Ribéry leads the Bayern surge on the left side, teammate Thomas Müller commands the right. Müller stands out with his 90 Positioning, which ensures he’s in the right spot when an attack commences. With his 88 Stamina, 87 Reactions, 86 Finishing, 85s in Short Passing and Vision, and 84 Volley, it’s really no surprise why he’s on this list.

#5. Arjen Robben (The Netherlands) – Bayern München – RM

The Bayern domination continues with Arjen Robben and his 93s in Dribbling and Acceleration, 92 Agility, 91s in Balance and Spring Speed and 89 Long Shots. Players who can both score and create plays are so incredibly important in FIFA 14 and Robben makes both look easy.

#4. Marco Reus (Germany) – Borussia Dortmund – LM

Reus is another player on the left side that many clubs would love to have on their rosters. He is a physical threat due to his 92 Sprint Speed and 89s in Acceleration, Agility and Long Shots. And, like other formidable midfielders, his 87s in Dribbling and Positioning, 86s in Finishing and Reactions and 85 Shot Power means he’s not only setting up goals, he’s also putting the ball in the back of the net.

#3. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Gabon) – Borussia Dortmund – ST

Those who follow Ligue 1 have already seen what the 24-year old can do, and now Dortmund fans are getting a look for themselves. Aubameyang, already featured on our list of the most popular transferred attackers in Ultimate Team, features an incredible 96 Acceleration and 95 Sprint Speed.

#2. Robert Lewandowski (Poland) – Borussia Dortmund – ST

FIFA 14’s co-cover athlete Robert Lewandowski is the kind of player you want scoring goals for your side. He stands out on the pitch thanks to his 87s in Finishing and Reactions, 86s in Ball Control and Positioning as well as 85 Jumping. When you have Reus on the left side for Dortmund, you know his first option is to get it to Lewandowski.

#1. Mario Mandžukić (Croatia) – Bayern München – ST

With four of his midfield teammates on this list, it’s no surprise that Croatian Mario Mandžukić lands the #1 spot in Germany. If the other Bayern players aren’t scoring themselves, they are most certainly getting the ball to Mario in front of net. Mandžukić was #3 on our Top 10 Transferred Attackers thanks in large part to his 91 Heading Accuracy.
