The Simpsons: Tapped Out Unveils New Update Including Treehouse Of Horror Content

EA unveils its first major update to The Simpsons: Tapped Out featuring content from the upcoming Treehouse of Horror XXIII episode of The Simpsons TV show.

EA worked directly with The Simpsons writers and animators to integrate distinctive content between the TV show and the game. In order to unlock select features in the game, fans must tune in to the Treehouse of Horror which is The Simpsons highest rated episode annually and is scheduled to air Sunday, October 7.

As an industry first, this substantial integration makes The Simpsons: Tapped Out the only game on the iTunes App Store to incorporate features from a current hit TV show. In addition, The Simpsons: Tapped Out receives a slew of additional content in this update including new game modes, characters, buildings and decorations.

EA recently highlighted the success the title has seen on iOS where it hit #1 in the top free rankings chart in every territory where the game launched.
