Chris Bruzzo Joins EA as Chief Marketing Officer

In the past year, EA has embarked on a transformation to put our player relationships at the center of everything we do.  Today we are taking another important step toward that goal by welcoming Chris Bruzzo to Electronic Arts as our Chief Marketing Officer.  Chris will lead an integrated marketing, communications, web and digital service organization designed to advance our ability to put Players First.

Today, EA creates games and live services for players around the world on an ever-expanding range of platforms and unique ways to play.  Partnering with our development and technology teams, Chris will ensure we are delivering personal and meaningful experiences for players every time they connect with us and play an EA game.

Chris is a proven brand visionary who has held leadership positions at two of the most dynamic brands in the world – most recently driving the digital transformation at Starbucks and, prior to that, as an executive at Amazon.com.

He was the architect of the Starbucks digital experience, building award-winning loyalty and personalization programs. Chris also led the growth of record-setting Facebook and Twitter programs, and the My Starbucks Idea online community program.  He has tremendous passion for building deeper connections for brands with their customers, and I know Chris will lead us to connect with all of you in new and inspiring ways.

Chris is a great fit for our organization – a collaborator, innovator, and importantly, a gamer.  Chris is just as comfortable sharing stories about his days playing Escape from Rungistan and Ultima back in the early 1980s on his Apple IIE as he is debating tactics in FIFA, Battlefield or Peggle. I’m thrilled to bring him on board at EA.

Welcome to EA, Chris!

So is Mr. Bruzzo going to fix the EA servers? If you put players first, then why do you insist on using sub-par servers that kick your customers out of games? It is so frustrating that many people give up playing EA games all together. The whole EA Nation server is a joke that works about 45% of the time (after dashboarding multiple times). How can you honestly say you put players first when you wont even give previous successful titles your attention for simple patches and updates? Do your jobs

I think it would help if Maxis games got more freedom. The Sims 3 had less freedom than The Sims 2 and The Sims 4 has less freedom than The Sims 3. I like to make a vibrant town and play with it but it can't be done anymore since The Sims 3 started. Of course there's the CAW tool in The Sims 3 but now that The Sims 4 is out it's going to disappear and that means I'll have to play with pre build towns unless I keep playing The Sims 2.

ever since ea acquired westwood studios command and conquer franchise had grown steady and many of us cnc fans were displeased with the death of the franchise that had taken place last year. there were so many of us looking forward to the new title only for ea to kill the projuect and the franchise. please bring cnc back.
